Divine Rock Temple
It is located on the Fangshan mountain 78km (48 miles) from Jinan. The temple was constructed in the Northern Wei period (386-534AD) and rose to importance in the Tang and Song dynasties. During dynastic times, the temple had more than 40 halls and over 500 rooms.


Great Light Lake
Itis located in the northern part of the old city of Jinan in a park that covers 86 hectares.

Waters from several springs such as the Pearl, Lotus Flower and King’s Mansion all converge in the lake and flow towards the Gulf of Bohai. Around the lake and in the park are many pavilions, towers, bridges, natural paths and memorials set against beautiful trees and greenery.

Jet Spring
located in Baotu Spring Park is one of the most famous springs in Jinan. Surrounded by stone balustrades 3 columns of water spray out of the spring. The spring is a famous landmark of Jinan and was named the "First Spring Under Heaven" by Qing emperor Qianlong (1736-1795). There is also a memorial dedicated to the Jinan born poet Li Qingzhao (1084-1151) and several of her works are on display.

Thousand Buddha Hill
It is located 2.5km (2 miles) south of Jinan. Between 581 and 600, numerous Buddhist statues were sculpted on the rocky cliffs of this hill. There are small niches dotted throughout the hill with standing images of buddhas and bodhisattvas Many of the original statues were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution but have recently been replaced. The hill is the venue of numerous religious festivals and also gives great views of the city.
